The Perfect Perception's Perception

Recognize your feelings are a key component of breaking negative perceptions and patterns you’ve been using to evaluate yourself and your feelings. For example, if you feel the negativity mounting try stopping whatever you’re doing when the feelings hit, taking a few deep breaths, and asking yourself, “Why am I feeling like this?

Once you’ve identified your feelings, try to actually feel them. If you find you’re feeling sad, you may just need to relax and/or cry, maybe even ask a loved one for a hug. If you are feeling angry, you may need to talk to someone or take a brisk walk, punch a pillow or yell at the top of your lungs for a while.

Acknowledging our feelings can help you to focus on changing them. Replace a negative statement with a positive one, such as, “I’m not smart enough to go to college” to “I can go to any college I want if I put forth my best effort.” Most times, if you acknowledge your negative feelings and give them a positive twist you can unleash the perfect self perception, which builds positive self-esteem as well as make you unstoppable.

No matter what you are feeling, it is perfectly normal. You’re not too emotional, weird, or different and you’re definitely not being unreasonable. People can be so negative and when they judge us, it’s usually in a negative connotation. So there’s no need to judge you negatively. You have the world to do that for you. It is your job to take that negativity and make it work for you. Strive to you’re your feelings at the forefront because your emotions connect you to you, to your truth and to your desires.Experiment with identifying your emotions throughout the week and notice how it affects your life! Write your comments, experiences, feelings, and questions.
